These nutrients develop naturally in the high altitude plantations of central Sicily characterised by a unique microclimate: hot and dry weather in summer, a mild and rainy winter, and strong temperature variations between day and night. The high levels of antioxidants and vitamin E contribute to the protection of cells and blood lipids from oxidative stress.
